At Pinnacle Building Group, the passion is in the details. The hardwood floors and coffered ceilings, the stone arches and stone fireplaces. All these details are important, but especially the woodwork. “Meticulous woodwork is a big part of what makes a home a standout,” says Pinnacle President Jeff Olinger, whose favorite Cincinnati building is Music Hall. Philosophically committed to being the best custom builder in the area, rather than the biggest, Pinnacle Custom Building Group undertakes only 10 to 15 projects a year. Projects like the 7,950 s.f., 19 room “Alsace,” featured in HOMEARAMA 2006. The French Eclectic-style home won best of show for Floor Plan & Kitchen. By limiting his company's growth, Olinger is able to work closely with each client and play an integral role in each project. “I personally ensure that each Pinnacle home meets our uncompromising standards for quality workmanship,” he says. Olinger is supported in this quest by award-winning architect Mary Cassinelli, AIA; construction managers Dave Bastian; Dean Chalmers; Olinger's son Brad a recent graduate from Miami University. A graduate of Moeller High School, the elder Olinger discovered his passion for building at age 12, when he undertook his first tree house. He built his first home nine years later, launching his own Custom Building Company in 1997. “My deep passion for what I do continues to inspire me,” Olinger says. “If you don't have passion in what you do, you don't succeed.”
